Black and Present

A robust sheet steel body with a matt black, textured varnish surface, a simple style to match its functional requirements, spatial presence thanks to its architectural proportions and flexible modularity. This is the style of ,simple’s modular counter and ticketing system for Stuttgart’s new trade fair centre.

It includes ticket machines, information terminals with printing and scanning functions, information columns, mobile information counters, counter monitors and individual monitors.

Our work awarded the “VISCOM Digital Signage Best Practice Award 2008″.

The jury members arrived at their verdict through consideration of the interplay of content and technology, design, positioning in the environment and the achievement of the communication targets. The project submissions for the competition were required to be from producer and client together.

The jury statement:
“This information and orientation system is a functional system, well balanced in form and content. It implements all the needs of modern fair and congress services in an integral way. The system fits perfectly into the function and form of the building. The design appears in a restrained fashion that pushes the content into focus.”
