Any company that's rated the most sustainable automobile company in the world for the fifth time in a row* and builds a fleet of vehicles with the lowest CO² emission in Europe...
...has a lot to say. And sustainable management is a serious subject. This is why we offer visitors the chance to play.
,simple has developed an interactive exhibition for the BMW Group on the key issues of sustainable mobility. The CO² emissions of vehicles, user behaviour of customers, traffic management and closed cycles in production are just a few examples of the subjects which visitors are introduced to in a playful and entertaining way.
Communications focus on the attitude and actions of the company. Specific examples are used to introduce visitors to the BMW Group's integrated and global concept.
In entertaining games, the subject matter is communicated to passers-by. Each game is a challenge, and visitors are encouraged to try again and improve on their performance. ,simple proves here that "serious games" are also suitable for communicating information in the exhibition and trade show business.
More detailed information can be accessed in the interactive "Sustainability Dictionary".
With the "Efficient Dynamics Pinball", visitors find out about the impact energy-saving technologies have on vehicles. With game engine-based real time 3D and force feedback technology in the chassis, simple's specially developed pinball perfectly combines gaming fun with knowledge transfer.
In the "One litre race", visitors learn how to cover a set route on a limited amount of fuel through intelligent user behaviour and a fuel-saving way of driving.
Keeping a closed water circuit upright is no mean feat. Visitors can have a go themselves in an entertaining game of dexterity.
Traffic management is a highly complex business. By skilfully combining different measures, even dense traffic can be made to flow smoothly. Visitors find out how this works in a reaction and combination game.
All games are activated by a ball which visitors can take home after the game. The ball contains a USB stick on which the interactive dictionary, a film, the BMW Group Sustainable Value Report 2009 and links to sources of more detailed information are stored.
The exhibition uses sustainable materials such as linoleum, bamboo and energy-efficient monitors. All stand-by screens appear in dark colours to save electricity.
At the première during BMW's Annual General Meeting in the Olympic Hall in Munich on 18th May 2010, the exhibition was enthusiastically received by shareholders, journalists and staff of the BMW Group.
The exhibition will embark on a worldwide tour in several sets after its successful debut in Munich.
