...at the International Motor Show 2009 in Frankfurt.
In a separate building in front of Hall 11, young visitors between the ages of seven and 13 can find out about the subject of sustainability in a three-stage workshop. The focus is on issues such as energy and water consumption, preservation of resources, traffic control and the use of alternative technologies.
The concept is based dramaturgically and didactically on the BMW Junior Campus in the BMW Welt. For the International Motor Show, ,simple has revised the concept thematically, technically and creatively for the BMW Group and made it sustainably mobile for future use.
The workshops begin in the PORTAL area with an introduction and a quiz, which explains the term sustainability to the young visitors.
In the LABORATORY, children can find out about the subjects of resources, development, production and transport at games tables where they are required to identify objects.
In the WORKSHOP, they dismantle a pre-assembled vehicle and then have the task of sorting parts in the recycling station. From the recycled parts and new materials, they then build a new vehicle which is reintroduced into the cycle by the following group.
The Junior Campus in the outdoor area offers three to eight-year-olds the opportunity to learn about road safety in a playful way in two age-appropriate mobility courses.
,simple is responsible for the overall design: it developed contents, devised and produced the interactive games and media, and produced the interactive tables and all other interior components.
The BMW Group Junior Campus at the 63rd International Motor Show in Frankfurt is open to all young visitors daily from 17th to 27th September from 9:30 to 19 hrs.
